Jewish Cabaret Week
From the turn of the century to the expulsion |
In no other city were there so many favourite actors from jewish descent as in Vienna. They influenced the mood of the city from operetta to the "Fiakerlied", from theatre to cabaret, from popular music to literature.
This festival presents three of the most successful productions which are a result of the joint cooperation between the Armin Berg Society, the L.E.O. Theatre and the Orpheus Trust. They are a homage to an important period of cabaret and its protagonists - amongst them Leon Askin. |
